Billy Horschel achieved a playoff victory at the DP World Tour's flagship event over the weekend, wearing the UK's number 1 selling golf shoe - FootJoy Premiere Series.
Horschel began the final round of the BMW PGA Championship three strokes behind the leader. However, he recovered from his deficit with a -5 and a 67 on Sunday, securing his third DP World Tour victory.
Horschel's FJ Premiere Series golf shoes, which were specifically engineered to offer golfers year-round stability and traction, were instrumental in his victory. FootJoy Premiere Series footwear is the preferred choice of players worldwide and remains the most popular shoe on both the PGA and DP World Tours.
Notable users include Justin Thomas, Max Homa, Will Zalatoris, Wyndham Clark, Matteo Manassero, and numerous others. Golfers can depend on a shoe that provides unparalleled traction on all playing surfaces, thanks to the revolutionary VersaTrax+ technology. FootJoy's Ortholite EcoPlush FitBed provides comfort by providing periphery stability in the heel and custom underfoot cushioning that is both super-soft and comfortable.
“I wear Premiere Series because it gives me the stability of an old FJ Icon but with the comfort and lightweight feel I need from a golf shoe,” said Horschel.
“There are a couple of things I always look for when it comes to footwear - firstly, I want to have a shoe that not only looks good but also matches with my clothes and personality, which is where FootJoy do such a great job of providing an array of options with a stylish look."
“I then like to focus on the performance side of the golf shoe, where once again FootJoy have always done a tremendous job of this and continue to get better.”
It was not just his footwear that Horschel relied upon for his victory at Wentworth but also that of his FootJoy StaSof golf glove.
The number of participants who chose to trust the #1ShoeinGolf at the event was more than double that of the nearest competitor. The #1GloveinGolf was chosen by 46% of the field, and it was not solely shoes that dominated the equipment counts for the week.
